CTET 2018 Section wise Tips and Tricks

Central Teacher Eligibility Test  (CTET) is conducted every year for recruiting teachers in the government and private sector . Every candidate had to clear CTET if they want to work in the various department of the Union Territories of Daman and Dio. Delhi Government has also implemented CTET for induction of teachers in the Primary, Upper Primary teachers in Government schools, Kendriya Vidyalaya schools. Every candidate needs to pass the CTET exam to fill any teachers vacancy . Selected teachers will be able to teach in 92 cities all across the country. It takes a lot of hard work and effort to qualify for the test.

CTET Preparation Tips For each section

Questions asked in the CTET exams are of objective type.The total time allowed is 150 minutes .Teacher appearing for CTET exam has to apply for different subjects for Classes I to V and VI to VIII. The preparation tips for the CTET exam are :

·        Child Development and Pedagogy :  In this section 15 questions will be asked from every sub section of child development .A candidate needs to be thorough with the Inclusive Education and Child Development as 5 questions will be asked from this section. Previous years questions also needs to be referred while preparing for the exam.

·        Language I and II : Language I is the local  language of the candidate and language II is the language is the language used for communicating .

      Language I: The candidate’s proficiency level in the language used for teaching will be tested. The candidate will be asked to answer 2 unseen paragraphs, one prose and one drama. However, prose question can be Literary, Scientific, Narrative,One poem will be asked and the question will also be asked from the poem.The question will also be asked from Verbal ability and Grammar

      Language II: Questions will be asked similar to Language I. It will test the candidate’s proficiency level of communicating. A candidate needs to so a regular reading in the language along with speaking.

·        Math Section : A candidate will be asked basic questions from this section which is in the syllabus .A candidate needs to have a sound knowledge of this section .Sample papers will be released by the CBSE which a candidate needs to solve.

·        Environmental Studies : Question asked in this subject will be general and basic. A candidate needs to study the NCERT books of Class I to V and Geography books  of VI to VIII.The candidate should watch the daily news clips and read the newspaper regularly. Previous years question paper will be of great help and should by the candidate.

·        Science : 30 multiple choice questions will be asked from this section. Question will be based on VI to VIII level .A candidate should solve online CTET mock test and solve sample papers of previous years. Few unit based questions will also be asked and some Chemistry basI’d questions will also be asked.

Study Plan for CTET Preparation :

Ø  A planned study plan is required for tracking the CTET exam.The study plan should be planned in such a way to that all there subjects are covered.

Ø  A study plan in detail should be planned based on the CTET syllabus and including the candidates strength and weaknesses.

Ø  A study plan should be designed in  a organized manner so that it gives a clear mind-set and it is also stress free for the candidate.

Ø  The study plan should be regularly followed to gain a difference in the CTET exam.

Time Management

§  The total time allowed in the exam is 150 and total question asked will be 150.

§  So a candidate will get just 1 minute to answer the question and wasting more than 1 minute will not help.

§  The candidate should solve as many question as possible and try to solve the later questions with sufficient time.

§  A candidate should time himself and try to solve the question within the stipulated time .

Important Tips

v  A candidate should read all the questions carefully.

v  The candidate should remain calm and should not get nervous and try to solve the question with proper focus and concentration and with a clear mind.

v  A candidate can try to attempt all the questions as there is no negative marking.
